Tony C's post about his Tri-ang streamliners reminded me of the ones I have. I finally googled "tri-ang cn" to find out what mine were sposed to look like. I really liked how they looked in the pictures I found, so I thought I'd try and repaint the stripe and CN logo on the side of mine.
The previous owner had given them a horrible repaint, if you can even call it that. He had painted over the black stripe (there were black smudges all over the side) and stuck a blue decal on. It looked like a 10 year old had done this in the dark...

5 hours, $4, 3 pizza stains on my shirt, 2 train cars and 1 paint brush later...

This was my first attempt at trying to paint a model train... I screwed up the CN logos, but those things are friggin tiny. Also, when I peeled off the decals, they took some of the paint with them. I'll try and fix that eventually. The black stripes look pretty good (the picture made them look messy, but they aren't in real life). The cars look better now than they did before though.

BTW, I wasn't home tonight because i'm a train nerd with no life. i was sposed to go out, but my parents were going somewhere, and my brother's to young to stay home alone...so i kinda got forced to stay home[B)]...
