Got a couple of basket cases courtesy of Gil Finn to keep my fingers busy when I'm not biking or flippin' burgers this weekend.

One of them is a Rivarossi 0-8-0 the other a Tyco 2-8-0.

The Tyco in the lot is a ...sob...oh I can't bear the thought...sniff...sob...oh the pain....sob....is a 2-8-0 Royal Blue that...that...that...has been painted....BuWaaaaaaaAaaAaaaaaaaaa The cracked drive wheel I can fix, the drawbar I can fix, the missing rails I can fix...the paint...oh the pain, THE PAIN....

There, I'm good.

Thanks, Gil, you made my weekend.

The Tyco Royal Blew (still sobbing at the thought) is up and running, though I still need to deal with finding replacements for two cracked drive wheels.

I do...most likely in my own road's scheme. I was even thinking of getting a set of decals made up to tag it "The Royal Blew" or something. I can't believe I'm looking at a Blue...still makes me cry.... :-)

I have a set of wheels (complete with new traction tires on the geared wheels).
I'll send them out as soon as the PO opens.

I appreciate that, Ray, would you be interested in a Hobbytown universal set for your General?
