Thanks Chops124! Yes, I do have a bit of catenary on the layout - I'm a big Sacramento Northern fan and they had their whole line from Oakland to Sacramento with catenary. Eventually I'll have about 1/4 of my mainline under wire. For now only the terminal has wire. I'm using Marklin as it is easy to work with and pretty robust.

Oh, that makes my heart beat faster. Nice, nice work. A most unique and captivating bit of work. Also, I notice you are using brass rail? Always liked that look.
I never heard of the Sacramento and Northern before. I will have to look it up.
Is that fine looking catenary Marklin, or did you scratch build it?
