I believe Calumet/Stewart Products makes traction tires for Tyco. They should fit any drive as the wheels are the same size(aren't they?).

Yes, Calamut makes some, but MU-2 motor tires are different. They're basically small O-rings, not flat bands. Those are for the PT motor trucks. I have had to buy the O-rings off Ebay from China, due to the fact that almost no company I've found sells 1mm diameter ( thickness) O-rings, usually only 2mm diameter you can find locally ( USA ), and they're too thick. I "believe" the size I use is 12mm for MU-2 motors. which is 12mm x 1mm. They're cheap from China via Ebay, and their shipping is free. So figure $3 to 4 for a pack of 100 is what I paid. So, PT and MU tires are different. Just so you know. TH MU-2 has a thin groove down the center of the plastic wheel, whereas the PT has a wider groove which holds the flat band.

Hmmm. That's very valuable knowledge. I thought you could just use those Calumet tires on the MU-2s as well.

Thanks, Guys--I saw those on EBay. They looked too thick, but maybe that's just me.

No, they're OK for PT trucks, but the older MU-2 has a thin groove for O-ring type traction tires, so they won't work. You had a good eye. I don't like the Calamut tires, either, they are cut crooked, and quite frankly, suck. IMHO. They're better than nothing, but not MUCH better. I have yet to see any real high-quality flat traction tires that are worth much these days. Sad to say.

Calumet #505 is for HO diesels, actually fits older Mehano stuff like AHM, old Life Like,ATT, and some Lionel HO. They are wider
Calumet #515 is for Chattanooga Choo Choo, fits PT's and sometimes you can sneak them on to MU 2's.
I have stretched both on to steam drivers with some work although they do have some for steam engines, I don't know the number.
The actual MU 2 o ring is a very small cross section that would be used in actuator valves and so forth. I've yet to find a good source.

I came across these a few years ago. You have to look in the RC section of a hobby shop. The brand is AXIAL. It's a green & white carded product. The part # is AXA1163. They are an O-ring 7mm x 1mm and when I bought them , 10 per package. They worked great for me. Evan

They look like they should work. I am not familiar with measurements of the MU-2 wheels but here they are on eBay.

Pretty cheap too.

That must be because you're in Canada. It's $2.70 shipping for me. I would love to go a hobby shop but ours in town closed 2 years ago. :/
