It seems that Mantua Shifters came with a headlamp jewel but the Tyco Shifters (at least the RTR) did not; and just had the inside painted silver. Does this sound correct? Did Tyco Shifter kits have jewels? Just pondering more useless trivia on a slow day.

The Shifters were the low end engines, they never got the jewels, nor most of the Tyco engines. Usually just painted silver.
