Don't think I've ever seen a Penn Central hopper like that. Cool find.

LOL! Nice looking car Microbuss.
Here's mine from my recent haul. It was sealed. I committed a sin by opening a Sealed mint-in-box Tyco accessory. My defense? I wanted to run it!
I find it odd this particular car has the trailers back to back as opposed to nose-to-tail like most other ones. It's shown this way in the box image too. How'd they get it on there?

Yes, that IS odd. I have a sealed BN set like yours, but I'm not gonna open THAT one up to check it! I DID look at 3 or 4 of my Santa Fe versions I had easily accessible, and they all face the same direction, ie nose to tail. I suspect it was something they did early on, then realized it was a mistake, and changed it. Those trailer holders are just clip-in anyway, so you can carefully pry them up and turn them around if necessary. But it is strange they pictured it that way, too. Maybe it was the Tyco Crane that puts them on the trailer.
For my COTW, I give you this little flat with a PT motorized frame on it. I am NOT sure what the frame fits, though. I don't recognize it...is this a powered tender frame? With plastic wheels facing the shot, I'd say it probably is. I've just never taken one apart before.

Definitely looks like it. the lugs on the ends are for the truck frames to swivel on.

A Potlatch by Life Like. It was one of my early pieces that got me hooked on vintage 70's and 80's HO.
I was rather enjoying this piece until I saw Micro's posting of that PC hopper. Now I am green with envy. Curse you, Micro! I hope it snows early in Nebraska!!
BTW, that GN with the load is pretty durn cool. As Mark Twain said, "Plagiarism is the sincerest form of flattery," so I think I might knock up a version of that myself. I've scads of empty flat cars.

Nice old stuff. A Trix Twin caboose. A old name. The Texaco tank is Internetional, it is old it is big it has paper sides IMP couplers. Those colorfull cars, that look new, but aren't, are they all old metal Varneys. The real old ones had wood floors, The not so old had die cast floors. The newest ones plastic floors. Good find Frank
