The venerable Honest Sam's. Archival pic from 2009 Amtrak Train Days at Union Station in El Paso. The 2x6 portable traction layout is called "Smelttown" in reference to a since demolished neighborhood in El Paso, that used to lie in the shadow of the now gone Asarco Copper Smelter, upon the banks of the Rio Grande River.

Chops - I think Sam needs to dust off his inventory a little bit. Here's a ceramic HoJo from my archives. I can find no record of one ever looking like this.

Yeah, I didn't realize how bad that looked. A little farther away but clearer

Microbusss - The Hojo, The Texaco Station, the white fire house you can just see by the flags and the buildings on the each end of the top level are all by a ceramics comp any called Lefton. The large ones went for $80+. I walked in to a Value City Department store and they had a rack of them at about 1/10 of that. Needless to say I loaded up a cart with my favorites. Their roadside series I believe are the same ones Bachmann has recently released in resin. I don't think you'll find the originals at a toy show. Which Texaco sign, the tall highway sign or the Sky Chief billboard? Both easy to make, glad you like. Sorry I don't have a good pic of the tanker truck.

Great scene. A lot going on. That HoJo's is the max! I'd like to see more photos of your layout.

"Chops - I think Sam needs to dust off his inventory a little bit." You'd be right about that. El Paso is dusty as Hell. When the wind blows, and blows like a typhoon, we call them "West Texas Blizzards."
I am lazy to clean it up, so I call it weathering.
