Gateman and Mantua Alco on the Tyco Expander Layout last week. I wired the gateman to an on off toggle so I can pop him out on demand, otherwise he just sort of flickers when the pressure sensor was activated.

Nice accessory! I am not sure I have that one (yet). My AOTW is an HO Gilbert, I got this from a train lot awhile back, just getting it out finally. Don't often see the Gilbert HO stuff much.

You're welcome, Jeff! For what ever idea I gave you. I have one of these for the Tyco cows too. I have 8 square feet of room on my layout for a farm on one corner. Have a rail that will run right by these for loading/unloading.

Hi Chops
I recently installed this accessory to my layout too, I used a rebuilt "Prestomatic" push button
http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17027
to activate a tortoise switch machine that drives the gateman animation. How did you hook up your gateman without using the mechanical pressure plate system that this accessory was built with?
