Found in a thrift store lot of 11 plus pounds of HO stuff, I haven't seen this particular billboard tanker before. So it's my choice for COTW.

< Backstory > I did a little research on Staley Manufacturing, and found out some interesting items. Mostly a Corn related industry, starch, glucose, etc. In 1920's, Staley was interested in Football, and had a semi-pro team that worked at his plant. In 1921 he turned it over to George Halas, and a year later, Halas moved the team to Chicago, where it became the ..... Chicago Bears. The Bears emblem was that used by Staley I think, if I read it correctly on Wikipedia. How interesting....

Great piece, and great back story. Even the brake
stanchion remains. On wonders how it escaped
the ravages of time as well as it did.

A "Dots" caught my fancy as it leads a billboard procession last
evening at the El Paso Model Train Club. Incidentally, the
Shark is a 're-fab" by Wildecoupe, who trimmed down the
chassis on a Model Power Shark, to fit.

*** ** A old Lindbergh caboose in its box.
The line of cars became the Mantua Heavy weight cars.
