Definitely two of the nicest cars TYCO made, the 40' M-StL car and the 40' TH&B car. Both are the animated brake cars with the (Dizzy) brakeman.

My car this week is a old, all wood B&O box car from around 1870 to 1900. I have no idea who made, there were so many companies making cars like this in the late 1940 to 1960. The neat thing about this car is the drawing of the globe. I've seen this logo many times on aircraft flying out of Newark Airport. Mainly World airlines and more recently Continental. I would guess that these airlines thought that had something new and original. Well here is the old B&O railroad using this logo in the 19th century. Frank

Borrowing an up-angle view from WKS, who's work I've enjoyed very much over the past few years. I bagged this puppy for $2 at an estate sale. It is particularly meaningful as my grandfather, "Mac" worked for Armstrong his entire 45 year career. His father, btw, was a brakeman on the PRR, surviving from a time before air brakes and link-and-pin couplers were the industry standard. Great Grand Dad started by driving mule teams hauling barges along the Susquehanna River canals in a time before railroads were invented.
Love that 'coon, Walt. Micro: major league Tyco score. I am turning PC green with envy. May all your wheels develop flat spots!!

My COTW is a High Baller's kit that I got back in March. The person had the entire set, plus a couple of extras so I grabbed them.
Well, I got off of my duff and decided to build one of the coaches. I got the baggage, combine, 2 coaches and the Express Mail cars in the set.
Since the kit came pre-painted in yellow with red letters, I decided to do the top and ends in maroon. I still have to find a suitable yellow for touch ups on the ends of the sides where the factory didn't paint. Overall, I' pretty happy with the way it turned out and am looking forward to finishing the rest of the set.
