Gonna use Tyco's School this week. Adding the window blind detail in this photo. I have yet to try a light inside this building. Will maybe remember to do that later today... Much more detail to add.

I see you didn't add the Halloween deco to this kit What you could do is paste the deco onto paper or stiff paper to mount in the windows with tape on the back for easy removal

Hey, Ben.. My layout is following the spring time theme, leaving the Halloween décor out of place...

For the Buss can you put a trash can along side the building with a small train on the can lid. Maybe a sign saying Buss's photographic studio next to it. frank

I want a trestle in my layout traversing a gorge or small deep valley. Since I live in Redwood country, I want an old fashioned timber trestle. I looked at different photos and drawings, different layouts, the plastic models and precut wood models. Since I have a nice supply of model balsa wood, I figured I could make one myself, not a big one, maybe over all it will be 24 inches from one side to the other and 16 inches high, twice the height of the one I completed today, after doing a drawing for my template, though I accidentally flipped the angled supports and will have to do that from now on for uniformity.

| Looks good Martin. That's a pretty impressive size when you're talkin' 16 inches high.

While back someone suggested I build a nuclear power plant for my NOS nuclear waste car. The containment dome has since been painted white. My bigger challenge is trying to fashion the iconic cooling tower with its "waist" shape. Do we have any potters in the forum who could throw one? Or perhaps someone with a lathe can turn one out of a block of wood? I got stuffs for trade for that.

| Chops124, go to a lamp or lighting store, a small lamp shade might work just fine, they have the same shape as the cooling tower you want to replicate, give it a good coat of gesso paint and it would look like a concrete tower. Or use some Das Pronto paper clay moistened till it is like a slip and paint it on, the uncolored paper clay is kind of greyish like concrete and when dry becomes a hard surface.

This may seem like wimping out, but not all power plants have cooling towers. Dresden Nuclear Power Plant, the first privately owned plant uses a river or lake, I'm not sure which, for cooling. Along with the containment structure, there should be a big square building for the turbines, generators, etc., and a tall stack like a smokestack. There's no smoke, but in certain mishaps, a short half-life radioactive gas may be vented and has to go out high enough so that it's very dispersed before it gets down to the ground where people live.

Interesting. A lake for a cooling pond. Bet that has some interesting fish. As for the turbine building, the little shack will have to do. This is Tycoville after all.
