I discovered this website which allows you to create HO (and other scale) brick "walls" that you print on your colour printer. Simply cut and stick on your buildings (scratchbuilt or otherwise) and you're good to go.

That's really cool. I like how easy the site is to use. I remember seeing a layout online where the guy made his buildings using pre-made front fascias and then constructed the rest of the building with paper print-outs of brick. Super cheap compared to buying full kits and they looked amazing in pictures.
