Oooooooooo. My only gripe with Bachmann OO is that the couplers bind and buff to such an extent that they often have propensity to be derailment kings. Is that a metal hook or a plastic hook? Nice piece and unique lettering.

Bachmann UK has somehow managed to convince themselves that the loss in function slimline tension-lock couplers suffer is worth it for the minimal gain in looks. It really isn't.

Zelda! Yes, as much as I like the fine lines, those buffer bars rub together and the plastic hooks are not unprone to warpage and if you can get them to couple at all.
I sold a very nice OO 4-4-0 Bachmann to Steve, here, a while back, for a pittance. It was beautiful to look at, but refused to negotiate the smaller radii of OO.

Is that a 51' car? If so, I'm a bit jealous. Having researched the Diesel Hustler that my Bachmann F9 came with, the blue car I remembered from peeking at it was a 51' The Rock plugger

Thank you, I guess... I probably should've taken that out of the shot, I don't know.

They're plastic.

My C(s)OTW are a set of 4 beer billboard cars that I got on eBay for less than $5 each.

Think I got a pretty good deal on them.

Throngs line the platform as another load of Maxwell House comes to Plasticville. I had been searching for this piece for years. Hard to find as a quark or a snipe. Then one flew in through an open window this week...
On another note, what the heck is a "malt syrup beverage??" Is that like a Prohibition Era duck-around thing?? Car is about right for that age... Imaging a "malt syrup" is invoking a peculiar desire to hurl...

At one time, "malt syrup" was used to brew beer and make other goodies. Colt 45 was a "malt liquor" and used malt as an ingredient.

yeah but of course lots of the beer makers had to make other stuffs to stay alive during Prohibition Coors for example made Malted Milk I heard they still make it for candy companies
Lots went bankrupt rather quick Or they made Near Beer What we call nonalcoholic beer
course all them fruity cocktails originated during Prohibition to kill off the bad tasting homebrewed or Bathtub Gin
NASCAR was created from the Rum Runners trying to best one another on weekend races

Cool backstory. I'm upping the ante on your Clementine set: The mint Athearn Commemerative Set AND a 40' Coca Cola Tyco tank car (missing handrails) with perfect graphics, Micro.
