My LOTW is a Mehano-made Bachmann GP18. I remember I got this at a train show, with the box and even the spare coupler, for $12. At first (since it was an older Bachmann product) I thought it wasn't gonna run well, but I decided to give it a shot because it was cheap. I put it on the tracks, and, for a an old Bachmann product, it ran very well. I was actually quite impressed by the running performance. It wasn't until later that I found out it was actually made by Mehano, not Bachmann, so yeah. It's definitely interesting how Mehano actually had a partnership with Bachmann at one time.

Micro was correct. I did go ga-ga. It is a sin to allow that truck to go around missing its side like that. I have used JB Weld to stick the broken ones back on with good effect. Shall I send you some, Cheez?

My LOTW is this Mantua Prairie:
It has been modified with a die cast boiler and has had the wheel with the rubber traction tire replaced with a plain old metal one. A working headlight has been added to the die cast body along with a few detail parts.

Was the wheel with the traction tire actually indented for one?

Yes. The plastic bodied Shifters, Prairies, and Big Sixes all have a groove in the rear left driver with a traction tire that looks almost like an O ring in it. Because of it, the drivers don't always sit down really flat on the tracks. That's why I like to switch to a die cast boiler and let the weight provide the traction. I swap out the grooved driver for a normal one.

Well, if it's grooved and the traction tire still causes liftup, then that is one shoddy excuse for a grooved wheel. I've never had that issue with my Hornby Thomas' traction tires.
