Abandoned church on the Shiplake and Sunderland. This Dapol kit has not survived its many moves about the country, so I turned it into an abandoned church. I invite TFers to post me some photos of abandoned churches to help me build this scene up.

Lighthouse perched on the rocky shore. This is a Heljan lighthouse and I outfitted it with a bulb and a custom flasher circuit.

Great light house. That track snaking along the cliff is most dramatic. Do you have more pics of your layout? It appears enormous.

| Looks like you could entertain youself a spell paintin' that yard office up Ken. I'm kinda guessin', however, that you've got a room full of mint things you're never going to touch.

Didn't know that Revell had a line of structures. Quite inspirational. I think many of us could whip up a Yard Master Office out of our parts box, even I who is rather limited in ability. Also, that 7 Up plant with the pink trees is really great, Walt. I see that you have been attending L.A. (Lampost Anonymous) meetings- you appear to be in remission!!

The city of Rochelle IL had its own short line railroad. I think it was run by Pioneer Rail. It served a large industrial park that was served by both BNSF and UP. The yard office, and in fact the office for the whole railroad, was in a caboose that was still parked on a track. Stick a sign saying "Office" on the side of a caboose and there you have it.
Before the Rochelle RR, and presumably now afterwards, the industries would be served by either a BNSF or UP switching crew depending on who had one in town that day.

I really like those lighthouses as well.
Chops - a broken down picket fence around a small neglected graveyard would go really nice on that church.
My BOTW is a part of Suydam Kit #573, the Barber, Dentist and Newspaper.

This kit also contains a Undertaker and Doctor's building. Not a kit I would recommend for someone who is a beginner or even advanced modeller. It required some kit-bashing and scratch building experience to complete.

I suppose you could take it down and eat it. Be forewarned tho, it is not gonna be very sweet, but you'll get a years worth of fiber from it.
