My BOTW for this week is an Atlas H0 scale station kit.

Certainly shares a good number of parts with it. The main building roof, the platform roof, the back wall, one side wall, the phone booth, most of the windows..

My building is a Suydam kit #572, Old Town Lodgings - Room House. I just finished assembling it and it was a bugger.

There were a few parts that I had to make because the parts supplied didn't fit properly. I used Gorilla Gel Super glue to hold it together because the instructions said NOT to use a water based glue as it might warp the cardboard sides.
The porch supports are Grandt Line. The supplied ones were just pieces of stick and looked like crap.

The scribed board was added to the back of the false front because the kit just left it as a plain piece of cardboard.
All in all, it was somewhat of a challenge to get it put together, not a task for a beginner modeller.

Wow, that came out nice. I'd love to see that on a 19th century layout.

| Good posting George. I've wondered about those kits and as such it was interesting to hear your review. I like the changes you made with the porch post and detail behind the false front. Looks like the staircase came out nice and straight as well.

Thanks guys. The stair case was a bugger to get together right. Had to modify the landing because it was too large to fit as the instructions described it.
This will be put on an 19th century layout. I am in the process of building it now. The first structure was the Livestock pen that I did a scratch build on from Suydam instructions that I got. I have almost acquired the entire set of Suydam old town kits. I am now looking for the Warehouse kit to complete it.
The outhouses will be the last items that I build. Have a few plans for those somewhere.
Since I have a number of these kits, I will try to post the progress on each one as I build them. I have already noticed some things about them that will need some variance from the instructions.
