hey guys:

Thought it would be fun for people to chirp in on their favorite 3 Locomotive paint schemes!?

Specials included, but especially the non-specials. (The grammar Gawds are planning their revenge!!!)

Maybe Special paint/Model/production prototype!?

Here's an example though not my official submission:

Nice Paint!

I guess my favorite scheme is Gulf, Mobile & Ohio's maroon and red used on its cab units. The scheme starts out on the Alton...

...and is later adopted by the GM&O.

Next favorite would likely be Rio Grande's aspen gold and silver passenger scheme.

And Toledo, Peoria & Western's green paint.

*EDIT*

(The janitor would like to know if this pertains to real life engines; proto-schemes applied to models; or flights of fancy. EMS called back and needs to properly document the cause of death...)

Dam I almost said GIC; use your imagination... then I thought ewww the "janitor" may be nuts! so lets keep it confined to prototype or model! Hell with an answer like that I could run for the US Senate![:D] [:D] [:D]

Seriously, doesn't matter as long as it's on a train!

Sticking with the Presidential theme.

I also love the outline around the CSX on the bc2 scheme.
Also love the CSX yn3 paint.

romcat- I've got that IHC POTUS 1 loco. That thing runs as fast as my old LL and Tyco F units!

My favorites for two words---simple and elegant, like well mannered royalty.

The Atlantic Coast Lines purple and silver...

The N&Ws Class "J"...

And the LMS "Leander"...don't own her yet but I'm a lookin'...
