*** HOrnby acHO *** * A line of trains made in France. I think from 1959 to 1970. The line's name is printed exactly like that starting this post. A combination large and small case lettering with the HO term in capitols. The Hornby name is a part of this name. It maybe related to the British Hornby company in some way. * I have a loco and a few cars of this line. Not much of a collection. While inspecting the loco to see is it was a AC powered loco, thinking it was because of part of its name, "acHO," by simply removing the screw through the roof, this was the method of releasing the body from the drive. The motor, has like a DC motor, has a permanent magnet. So the motor itself is DC. A AC motor would of had a winding and not a magnet. So I checked the drive to see if it moved freely and it did so power was applied and the drive turned. * A phot of mine as I purchased it for $30. It does run, but has the ugliest of useless couplers. i will need to look into replacing them with something more compatible. * My locomotive when compared to photos of its type online showed a missing pantograph. The loco should have 2. Also the one that is on one the loco is mounted backwards.

*Ken , how are you and yours. I hope all is well. * Now you can actually get one. I thought I would get a pair of similar ones because the originals weren't possible to get. With trains like those, you would not think it possible to get them here, until one day they are here. I found the loco 2 weeks ago. I got it for 15 or 20 bucks. I really don't remember what it cost at the time. Missing a pantograph and the fact that the one there is on backwards doesn't mean anything to me. Even the three cars I found a few months ago, being beat up and one missing a roof, still because they were $10 for the three, I got them.
* There is a train store in Cedar Grove NJ named Tony's Trains. Marklin, Hornby, Fleischmann, and other trains from your side of the pond are sold there. Used trains are sold there also. I haven't been there in a while. * I should be polite, and go there first and see if pantographs can be gotten there and not trouble you with the problem. I can save the trouble for later on. * On the last 3 cars seen on the video, I think are original ones that came in a set, Maybe with that loco. One was missing a roof. I had a roof from a passenger kit . I shorted it and put it on. frank

Ken you got to take care of yourself. No one else can.
Here is my 3 pieces that make that set you posted. ** There is also a third car that look like a commuter car. Same size and color and also Hornby acho.

** Separate photos of each car.
This one and the same next one were acquired in 2013 at Montvale train show.

** And the different type car.
** close up of the lettering on the 2 type cars.
