These two came in a good-sized lot of otherwise easily identifiable and inventoried HO stuff. After exhaustive research online (ho-seeker, ho-scaletrains, etc.), I am still not able to identify who made them:

They are identical to an older Life-Like Penn Central Caboose (same lack of markings on the bottom, other than "2141") - so I'm assuming either Life-Like or even Varney - but I can't nail it down exactly and can find none in CNW or MP roadnames referenced on the 'net. My OCD won't let me say "Life-Like" in my inventory (ah, the fun of being a "collector") withouit compelling evidence one way or the other.

Should I just say the heck with it and call them Life-Like???

Would help to see the trucks as well. Are they sprung? If so I would guess Varney.

Thanks for the help - I think I'm going to go with Varney as there are a couple other Varney cars in the lot and a mid-1960's time frame makes sense.
