Does anyone have a clue as to the prototype railroad? This is done up in CP. I'm told the model was imported by Frew & Gordon of Vancouver, B.C. No idea of the builder. Evan

Quite a few railroads had high-boiler 4-4-0's... these were the most modern "Eight-Wheelers"...
...but the throw-off is the Vanderbilt Tender.
I'm sure there are others who will chime in their information.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

It's also possible the PO added this tender, just to mess with me. The worm gear on this seems to be slightly eccentric,causing a drag with each rev. of the driven axle. How would one fix this? Gently file teeth down? I did try shimming the motor a bit, but it caused the worm to slip. Evan

Although I know nothing about the engine, I can give you a little info on the tender. Rhis tender is either a Baltimore and ohio prototype, or a Union Pacific prototype. This is distinguished by the slight angle on the tender. Sp lines' tender had no angle. The oil bunker had a straight 90' angle. (It is rectangular) Hope this helps
