I got 4 of these boxcars in a group purchase on ebay. I have no idea who made them or when they were made. On the bottom are the words "Crown", "Hong Kong" and "No S-100" with a latitude and longitude globe containing the letters "OK". Photos are below. If anyone has any idea, I would appreciate the info.

The Crown HO freight cars were Athearn knockoffs imported into the USA by Mantua/Tyco in the early 60's.Edited by - waw47 on August 13 2015 12:53:26 PM

I believe they're made by a company called OK Hotco. Found a few references to them on Ebay with boxcars. OK also made aluminum passenger car kits. May be the same company, but I didn't know about the Hotco reference for them. Rather obscure company, I've only noiticed OK being associated with passenger cars before now.

Hotco (HO Train Company) was an import company owned by Bernie Paul of AHM and IHC fame. He imported the same type of HO rolling stock under the Hotco Brand at a different time period.Edited by - waw47 on August 13 2015 1:39:39 PM
