When Union Pacific merged with Southern Pacifc, UP acquired AC4400 and C44-9W's for the fleet. UP put a yellow stripe on the sides and "patched" over the SP logo and number. These engines then received UP numbers.
I patched these using Microscale decals #91136 for the yellow stripe and MC-4328 for the patches. These were Athearn Blue Box engines. Both engines were completely sprayed with my 50/50 mix of Testor's Dullcoat and Glosscoat, nearly duplicating the original Athearn finish. As usual, both engines have 2mm LED Clear headlights. One project is left and then I am done with my custom painting....

once in a great while I will sees these UNpatched but as of late only seen the patched units

| Thanks! The hardest part of doing these, was trying to find the right way to do the yellow stripes. They are too narrow to paint, so it took a while to figure out the correct size decal for the stripe.
