I've been looking for some scale animals for use with my circus train, and had not found any I liked or that were to scale, until last week. I was in Micheal's craft store, and in their animal toy section, I spotted some packages, so looked them over. While some are oversized for HO, some weren't, the Rhino, Giraffe, Hippo, and Elephant were all acceptable size for HO. Then I noticed this smaller package of mini's, and it had even smaller versions, which I think would make great baby animals for the others, as I found a giraffe, hippo, rhinoceres and elephant in the mini bag. So I've got both adult and baby animals in HO scale now.  The larger packages cost 3.99, the smaller was 2.99 I think. So for 11 bucks, I got 8 animals that fit HO scale. I think I've seen some animals at Toys R Us that are also possibly to scale, but I didn't pursue that yet.
