You buy new stuff from IHC (when IHC has it ... how IHC stays in business without advertised products to sell is beyond me) - like the Exxon Gas Station or 3 Houses Under Construction and they still have the POLA stamp on their bottoms. Just like my *original* Tyco kit versions. I like caffeine and a chainsaw ...

I'm afraid the only way to insure that you get the IHC stuff is to order it from Walthers. At least they post what is in stock. They also do a good job of matching IHC's advertised sales prices. I think IHC stays in business by dealing primarily with distributors.
Are those IHC and Tyco structures the same as the old AHM ones? I think AHM carried several Polas as well.

AHM sold the molds to Tyco in 1975. If you notice...there are no more AHM kits (Ma's Place, Aunt Millie's House, etc. ) after their 1975-1976 catalogs. They (AHM) kept Pizza Hut, 7-Up & Burger King until 1985, selling those yet again to Tyco for 1986 Contemporary Series lineup. Baskin Robbins was Tyco's sole incarnation, also.

I'm just happy those molds keep getting passed around - when I first began *restoring* my childhood model train layout, I thought I'd never be able to get a lot of those Tyco kits back again. But - there they all were on the IHC website and on eBay! I like caffeine and a chainsaw ...
