Found this neat site that documents the rebuilding of the Lincoln Funeral train. There was no remaining locos or cars, so this man is building a new one from the original blueprints.

Thought ya'll might be interested. Enjoy.

Thats pretty dang cool. I hope he's able to go through with this because that would be awesome to have another steamer built.

For our Ohio TF members, I notice that the train (engine and car, both) will be in Ashland, OH on May 18-19 of this year. https://www.ashland200.com/v/documentlinks/the_lincoln_funeral_train.pdf

Once in a lifetime chance here. I found a picture showing the construct of the Lincoln Funeral train as it was in 1865. Will post a photo of it here.

Is this the configuration of the train that left the ERIE train terminal with PRR power ? To bad you didn't post a link to this page of info, so as to possiably get a large copy, one that can be read.

I came across this a while ago. It's in the Internet Archive, so I assume it's public domain. It's excerpts of articles on the Funeral Train and an article by Wayne Wesolowski on building a model. You can pick what format you want to download.
