Now THIS is my BIG score ( for me ) in the 4-bin lot I just bought this past week. When I was going through those 4 bins, this was in the last bin, and my jaw about dropped when I saw it. Talk about your high-dollar collectible! My boss doesn't care much about HO, though, so he only offered the guy 38 , and the guy turned it down, I asked if I could make a higher offer, and he said Yes. So I originally said $150, then the guy wanted to keep some stuff out of it, I ended up paying the boss $100 for 4 big bins of stuff. THIS item, however, rarely sells for under that amount alone as a set. Needless to say, I was VERY enthused to finally get a complete Eheim Trolley bus set ( I have a half-set, with enough overhead to do a half-circle, but that was all. ) Now I have a two-bus and a single bus set-up, And PLENTY of overhead catenary to make a small loop. Or big, I don't know yet. At any rate, this is worth risking divorce for, as my wife keeps threatening me if I keep buying stuff. I have picked out train items to sell from my collection, and I won't keep all that was in the 4 bins either. I just wanted some of the special pieces I found. More will be popping up on the OTW as well. Anyway, here's what I bought -

Home run. These things are mega cool. Sorry about your wife, but something had to give. I commuted on the San Francisco trolley buses in the day. Sweet ride, like being propeled in a giant marshmallow.
I fairly insist we see at minimum some photos when this babe is up and running, video would even be cooler (make a you tube video and copy and paste the link, after you you click the "public" pencil icon.

Dude, LUCKY! I've only ever seen half of one of these trolleybus sets in real life. Right up there with Ben's Aerotrain!

Very cool trolley buses! They are still in use in Vancouver, B.C. It's also cool being connected to an LHS that takes used and estate collections. You just never know what will walk through the door next.

Interesting photos of your trolley bus, Jerry. This next set a variation of a classic that tyco issued long ago. The animals will enjoy a long life in this alternate reality.

That's a Tyco? Looks more like an Athearn to me, honestly. Very nice.

In the 80's Mantua brought back the old metal streamliners produced under the Tyco name in the 50's. That's what's in the picture. Beautiful set Mike!
Jerry, great find! That's one of the earlier sets with the flat wire, and trolley mechanism mounted on the roof. Does it run?
WKS, great scenery as always. The set looks awesome all put together.

Kavocst00, you must have an endless well of all the cool Tyco in your backyard!
WKS, you come up with the most surprising combinations! Durango express with not one, but two search light cars! Definitely Twilight Zone material!

I haven't tried it yet. It's one of those Shhhhh! The wife ain't supposed to know yet. ;) I will get it out eventually and try it. She's seen my other one, partly set up, so she may not say anything if she sees this one out and about. Never know.
