My set is the C&FW set from Pettycoat Junction. Finally got all of the cars. Hope to get the other (black boiler/red tender) loco next week.

Nice set, Microbusssss. Never knew that one existed. On fleabay, about three or so weeks ago, I saw a New in Box (NIB) Petty Coat Junction set auction off for over $600. That is a lovely and unique set. Thank you for bring it into the light.

A gaggle of New Haven boxes, punctuated by a Tyco commerative piece. I believe this string was about 26 at the time of this photo, the number has now gone to 30, pulled by two very determined Athearn F units in Snow Bird colors. This photo was taken as it labored up a 1% grade at the El Paso Model Train Club. The sound effects are built in, as the cheap plastic trucks squeak like so many mice and the box cars resonate with plastic wheel on nickel silver rail, the locomotives groan and rumble. Just lovely.

This is what I mean by "Snow Bird" paint scheme. It was an acutal paint scheme used on the NH, just before the PC take over, on the Boston to NYC run on a special light weight permanently coupled double ended crack passenger train. I run them as a powered ABA set, the B being a dummy. Seen here on my Tycomania layout, in the style of WKS.

For my first SOTW, a display item belonging to the CVMRRC. Thanks to PGE33 and kovacste000 for getting it identified.
A Distler Toys battery powered HO Scale Trans Europ Express.
We have some display areas around the club where we'll be making room for this set.

Pretty fine condition it seems. Cool classic.

That thing is awesome. Any idea on the age of it? It almost looks like a Euro version of the Turbo Trains.

Externally, it is in pretty good shape. The loco bodies are loose, and all the pieces have a few dents, but it looks good on display. Internally, the powered car is missing the motor, so no test run. The wheel flanges on the locos are too deep for code 100 HO track, but they are the right width. There is track with the set, with tubular rail that has pin connectors, mounted on cardboard/fiberboard ties. I did some research on it, the proto type was built in 1957 and would have normally run with five cars and a power unit at each end. Distler toy production was ended in Germany in 1962, so this set should have been produced between 57 and 62. Looks pretty good for being 53 to 58 years old.

Here is my Bachmann Central Pacific Old time passenger set. It is re-lettered for the Lehigh Valley Railroad now. You may have seen the Lehigh Valley 4-4-0 Camelback #5 running around my layout in a video I posted here. frank

Pulling into the station late this week, but better late than never. Got this set from a big lot I bought from my boss at my hobby shop job, I will post the set I was REALLY after this coming Sunday, I was drooling when I found that set!
Anyway, a nice older Rivarossi passenger car set, Baggage car is missing trucks, otherwise in nice shape. The Engine is an Athearn SDP40, missing the railings, but very nice otherwise. I want to DCC this engine, as I don't really have a good B&O puller at the moment.
