For this week, my AOTW is the box for my AHM/Rivarossi 0-4-0 that I posted in my LOTW last week, I believe.

Dumpsters? No problem - Lower right hand corner. Got a bunch at the Dupage county Il. monthly train show, also where the PV factory, fork lift and KFC came from. More spread out on layout

Actually, I mounted the bucket on it's own pole on the other side.

Good news - something I didn't know I had that I ran across sorting through some old parts. Bad news - now I have something more to fix because it has a short.

In his mad ambition to buy up every single Tyco lamp on the open market, Walt overlooked these Bachmann telephone poles, which I leaped upon to create trolley catenary. Hah! Score one for the little guy. Er, in my case, the somewhat big little guy. The dumpsters behind the Ace Market are purely up to your imagination, as Walt bought all the other ones before I could get one!

So here is my AOTW. I got these in a junk box along with a host of other stuff for 2 bucks. Here is my question for the forum.Obviously the one on the right is a Tyco but who made the one on the left. It is without doubt an earlier version but is missing some of the details of the Tyco one and was designed to run on battery power. Who made it?

I took a second look at this, "Bonolo Industries?" This stuff is great! Why haven't we seen more of you?? Please post some pics of your work, your layout, I love that track pasted directly to the board; classic Tycomania.
Bring it on!

Not batting clean-up yet, but close, my AOTW is a rolling piece, a track cleaner car, which I THINK is by Marx ( judging by the trucks? ), but no markings on it anywhere. Interesting. Anyone know different? Oh, didn't someone say the center pins, if not brass, were Model Power? Or another reseller? First time I'd seen this track cleaner before.

Jerry, The track cleaning car is A. C. Gilbert (American Flyer) from the early 60's. It is missing a silver canister, which covers the weight and a red plastic tool box.

Thanks again Chops! There will be more to come. I tried joining this forum a while ago and I could not get in. Tried again when the owner took over and now I'm here. Not sure about your track comment, it is on road bed and mostly ballasted, if badly so.
