I just won and received a 25th Anniversary Classic Nomad and noticed that this version does not have a steering wheel as part of the interior like most Hot Wheels. Anybody know anything or if that's typical of the HW Nomad?

The Hotwheels Nomad changed over the years, I have an original Redline with a sunroof , and as the years went on, they made them cheaper and cheaper. The sunroof disappeared, I haven't really compared them together over the years, but I suspect they cheapened the interior as well to save money, as a steering wheel makes it harder to get the part out of the mold. Or it may have been a separate part entirely. At any rate, yes, they did change them over time.

Ok, this is NOT my original ( that is blue, it's in a display case somewhere ), this was another one I picked up, but it has the same features - sunroof, and a steering wheel. If you look closely, you can just see it in the pics. LOL. Don't get eyestrain!

This is a later edition,no redline tires, my original blue one had redlines on it. Like I said, over the years they started cheapening them up, the redlines went first, then the sunroof, and then probably an interior change.

Ok, my bad...lol! I thought they'd done away with it. the 56 Nomad has no sunroof, maybe that is what I was thinking of.

Imagine, the brain death that would be required to put a sunroof in a real Nomad....

Thanks for the input. I don't have the camera charged so no pics now. Mine was issued in 92 and was on an 25th anniversary red card with collector pin with a red Nomad pic though the car is like a spectra flame blue. I wonder if this is just a plain error car where the steering wheel was missing from the interior tub or a separate piece that was forgotten? Glad to see so many guys are into Hot Wheels. I think there was a Classic Nomad to be released in the 2015 year or was it last year?

If anyone is heavily into diecast as well, I invite you to check out Swiftysgarage.net ( no WWW in front ) , it's an all-diecast forum for all brands. Worthwhile to check out. And any PA forum members, there's a diecast show in Denver, PA this weekend March 27-29 at
Comfort Inn 1 Denver Rd Denver, PA 17517 Phone: (717) 336-7541
I plan on heading up early Saturday morning from Virginia. If you are looking for out-of-production diecast, this is a good place to go.

| That swiftysgarage is cool, topics sorted by manufacturers. Majorette series 600 trucks are a favorite of mine, although they can get pricey these days.
