I have run across several sets of decals that are brittle. I have used Microscale for years and have always liked how well they behaved when working complex curves etc. Lately they seem to be very brittle. I am also having trouble with them cracking while soaking in the water. I do not think a person should have to coat every decal sheet with clear coat every time you part with $8 for a sheet of decals.
I contacted Microscale when I first ran across this trouble and they replaced the defective sheet. Now, I have sent them unanswered e-mails regarding 4 more sheets of the same set. My older stock works just fine. Anyone else having this trouble? I wonder if they were required to remove lead or something in their manufacturing process?

Randy are these newer sheets that are getting brittle? So far I haven't had any issues with Microscale decals, at least not newer ones.

I did with the older NJT MC-4152 decals. They replaced 5 of them. I had to eat the other 3-4 that were defective like yours. The newer decals are a little better. I probably spent about $200 in decals with them.

Sorry that I missed these replies to my question. These sets are maybe a year old. I have sets stored the same way that are 20 years old that work just fine.
I finally heard back from Microscale in that I got returned e-mails; stating that they could not be delivered because their mailbox was full. Some way to run a business.
