Hi all, another newbie here, from south central Pa. I've been surfing the forums to a while now, and since I couldn't do that any longer, it seemed like the right time to join. I've been a model trainiac for years, starting with Tyco, Life-Like and Bachmann. I am a member of a local club, and am just really enjoying the hobby every chance I get. This seems like a great forum for all things model rail road, and I hope to learn lots.

| Thanks. I think the OTW threads are great, and hope to add some things to them soon.

South central PA... Altoona area by any chance? I'm between Philadelphia and Bethlehem, but I head out that way regularly. To use a corny phrase, welcome aboard

| Thanks everyone. About 2 hours to Altoona, haven't made it to the curve yet, but did catch some pretty good baseball games there. I'm not too far from the Mason-Dixon line. Some good railroad history in the area, locally, as well as a few good spots to railfan. Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome, man. We hope you like this forum, most definitely.

| Thanks. I figured out how to upload photos, I think. I posted in the identification station, no one in the club I belong to knows who made it. Hopefully the forum members will have a larger knowledgebase to pull from. Or at least better guesses!

I go out to the Curve at least once every summer, this year I hopefully will be bringing a friend and possibly the girlfriend as well. You pretty much have to, as a railfan living in PA, go see the curve at least once, even if it is an over-hyped tourist spot where the photo opportunities aren't half of what they used to be with all the trees now.
