Like, for example, the Snowden incident where a brave man by the name of Edward Snowden whistle blowed on the government on their "spying on all citizens" thing that they were doing a while back. He is now wanted by the US government and he doesn't seem to mind it, he doesn't regret it one bit. Now that's patriotism, right there, standing up to government takeover.And my teacher's actually talked about this as a whole, believe it or not. He said a lot of people are worried that the US is slowly moving from a capitalist government to a communist government, which I wholeheartedly agree. In fact, we already are, technically. Less and less people are voting, the government can easily take away everything we all own, so many people relying on welfare (it's a communist thing), etc. And because less people are voting (the average age for voters is about 50), they are causing us to slowly move to communism. And as shown by history itself, communism has good intents, it just never works and corrupts every nation that uses it, takes away individuality in people overall, etc. If we as a nation continue on this dark path, we are going to become basically like the communist nations in the world like the former Soviet Union, China, North Korea, etc. I'm sorry if any of this offends you, but I feel this must be addressed at some point. As for any political statements I make, they are not directed at any one person or party... America has been run by both parties and has failed miserably at getting any better. Until the two party war is over... things will stay the same or get worse. The countries only hope is to get a non-party bunch in office.
