My COTW is an enclosed ( or not, the top comes off easily ) hopper, Gold Leaf, not sure who made it or how rare it is,but haven't seen this one before. $2 car at the show on Saturday.

Jerry, I think that the Golden Loaf car may be MDC/Roundhouse. The screws holding on the discharge gates tipped me off.

My COTW are my acquisitions today at the train show (minus the NP Old-time set). An Athearn NP box, plus a Bachmann Morris-Knudsen hopper and CB&Q hi-cube box....PLUS an interesting Norfolk Southern sleeper to add to my NS business train. Interesting because it's uncommon to find Norfolk Southern business train color schemes on older Con-Cor cars like this one.

It's a Weyerhauser promo car, and it's also an Athearn car, BUT not one I've seen, and it's not on HOSeeker either. Dunno if Bev-Bel ever did promo schemes, but I don't think so. Perhaps you have a rare one there!

My contribution this week is a mixed lot I picked up on evil bay.
I grabbed it for the 2 billboard cars and the old time paymasters car.

A pair of ordinary boxcar red doors should do. Now try replacing the yellow-and-white-striped doors for one of those Timken Roller Freight cars -

"Pure N. Y. Water" sounds like an oxymoron! Nice cars though.

NY City Water comes from the Catskill mountains. A good place to get water from.

If you removed the shielding from the radioactive waste car, the water in those containers would be germ-free. Of course, the freight conductor wouldn't want to stand within 300 yards of it, but that's the way it goes.
