Picked up some of this track the last week and wanted to see if anyone else out there has crossed over from Tyco to the interlocking Bachmann.
Thanks,

Yes I have, long ago since I do not have a permanent layout. I run both steel and nickle silver.

Yep, I'm hoping the track holds together much better. I never tacked down my old Tyco track so it was a nightmare.

I use it for testing trains, when I don't have to leave it up permanent. I am planning on building an outdoor deck HO railroad, modular, so I can take it apart and put it inside out of the weather when necessary. I use both black and gray, no preference. Here's a few pictures of my outdoor experiment.

What happens if you rung longer trains? will they touch & derail if they go on the curve at the bridge?

No, because the spacing with the bases is mostly correctly. Modular standards require 2 inches between center to center. It may be a tad less, but long as I'm not running super-long cars, it shouldn't be a problem. I suppose running 18" radius and 85" passenger cars MAY be a problem. I can push the curves away from the C-channel bridge if I need to. Hadn't experimented with that yet.

Since I showed my deck railroad bridge, here's the basic plan I have for it. Want to run it on the outside of the deck eventually. But looking at these pictures I took I MAY just start off with the one bridge, and put a 4'x4' loop on the deck corner where the table is, and just lay the modules on top of that shelf, and the hot tub, and I can run it while sitting on the deck. A cheap and easy HO layout idea. Yeah.... :)
