While looking for some 18v bulbs for Marklin HO trains, I ran across this site, pretty cool, and they have a wide variety of bulbs available. I wound up ordering 10 different kinds, from 12v to 14v to 18v, and also a 6v-28v LED that apparently functions on either AC or DC voltage. $6.50 each, but figured I'd buy one to see what the brightness is like. They also had miniature and midget bases, screw type and flange type. I got them all.
Finding 18v bulbs in minature version is tough these days, I guess since most model train guys don't run their trans at Express speeds, you might not ever need the 18v protection, then again, it might lengthen the life some over 14v bulbs. But I guess for the money, probably easier to just change them out, or go LED. Anyway, go to :

and explore away. I have no idea what base type HO trains commonely use, I've seen the midget screw type ( E5 ), the next size up in AHM / Tempo ( E10 ? ), and then midget flange types in Athearn and others. Radio shack still sells the 14v midget screw base that many use. I bought some last night on the way home. Figured I'd buy an assortment so I'd have some to use, and then document what I used so I could buy more. I should probably just start taking my HO engines apart to see what the vintage ones are already in them.

Anyway, hope this resource helps some of you out.
