I know there are a few N gauge operators and interested parties here, so I'm posing my collection of N gauge engines and cars to titillate those who itch for a smaller scale. Since my interests currently include Z to K ( does anyone know what happened to K gauge, did it become G ? Found a reference to it by Chas. M. Merzbach Co.in an N gauge ad, which claimed to have started N gauge around 1960 ). Anyway, I hope to have at least a circle or loop of N track set up permanently on a foamboard or corkboard base in 2015. I have more than a few engines I can operate, but nowhere to do so yet.
Anyway, decided today was a good day to take some N gauge inventory, I have gotten quite a bit in one place, maybe 90%, but not all yet. Hope to accomplish that this year as well. Scattered is not good. So, here what I have accumulated in one area ( my bedroom bookcase ) over the last year.

That's pretty much all my diesels, unless the Plasser EM80 is a diesel? Don't know. Here's my steam collection -

Several of my small steamers need axles, which are missing. Another has the side rods flapping around. Not sure what it needs. The two biggest steam engines by Minitrix are complete, and came from a nice collection , I haven't tried them yet. Next up are my trolleys -

I've got a Bachmann PPC trolley as well, just acquired, which needs an axle and some gears to replace the split ones. But it's somewhere else at the moment. Next up are my electrics and other misc. engines I missed the first time around -
This Santa Fe passenger set I JUST finished fixing today, on my N gauge bucket list, had missing trucks and axles, I got all my parts together ( N gauge ) while cleaning up today, and found enough Atlas parts to fix them all, so all 3 will now be runnable. I think my F7 Santa Fe will get the honors of pulling it, this larger Santa Fe is missing the power truck, and no telling when I'll get it fixed, if ever. I just had it handy for the shot. Now here's some rolling stock I have, heavy on auto carriers. I have another box of auto racks as well, I "think".
Would love to run my auto racks at a show one day. Some other rolling stock I have -

Like I said, I have more N gauge stock, maybe a few more engines, in the basement. I think I have a bunch of Bangor and Aroostok box cars, was going to do an AMC conversion on those one day. But I think this is the majority of my N gauge collection except for a few boxes of N gauge rolling stock downstairs. I'm pretty sure I have one more Life-Like BL-2 as well, a C&O, but not sure where that one is right now. Organization takes time for me. I'm working on it. Hope you enjoyed the under-scale show here today.

Who made that Tyco looking Santa Fe #8731?

Made in Yugoslavia, no other name on the bottom. Metal centerweight, screwed on in center.

It never fails to impress me, the variety of things that made it into the world of cheap plastic locos in N, yet went almost unrepresented in (non-brass) HO until very recent years, like your RSD7, H10-44 and CPA24-5(?) up there. That stubby little H10-44 is adorable, by the way Also, who made the Turbotrain???

Walt, Bachmann made this particular Turbo train. Apparently it wasn't a very high quality one, either, but I LOVE the TT, it's just so unusual to look at, and Amtrak used it in the '70's in the DC/NY run. Mine is missing the special Talgo trucks, not sure if I'll ever find those, but I got the set cheap enough, and picked up another dummy engine on Ebay for cheap, too. I want the HO version, I think Bachmann also did one back in the '80's, and it wasn't very good, either. The newest one is much nicer, but also around $300. Maybe one day....

Nice photos of your N scale items. Has benefits if you have space constraints. Hope you come back.

Looks like an AHM item. They did have N scale items back in the day.
