Well This was mine...
Lat last week.. A Mantua Little B and a Mighty Mite for $$26! Note shipping was a bit much at ~$15.57, but even if it was $10 more than it should have been, still, $41+ change for both combined is a pretty good price...
Like I needed another of either one anyway! LOL

Sunday a couple of ladies came into the Model train store I work at, and wanted an assessment of some O gauge trains they had. They brought the set in inside a 1940's ? Radiotelegraph wooden case, wow that is a nice piece! Dovetailed corners, hmmm....anyway, they opened the case up, the track was all Lionel O gauge ( not O-27 ) , but kinda rusty. The train, however was decent, maybe C7, engine had parts falling off it, and it turned out the train set was a Marx. The cars were a bit dirty, but not scratched up or rusty, the wheels were gray and free of rust. Boss looked it up, said Meh, not really interested. Cars worth maybe $5 each, engine maybe 10 if it ran at all. He didn't offer them anything, so as they were packing it all up again, I said I'll give ya $30 for it. They looked at each other, and said OK. I think I'm going to put up the wooden case on Ebay to see what it'll bring, I'd almost bet I can make more on THAT than I paid for the whole train set and track! Don't have a picture of it yet, don't want the wife having a conniption fit. Will probably take it in to work and lay it all out there and get pictures then. I think this may be a 1940's set, the cars didn't have the rounded corners, they looked more prototypical than the later Marx tinplate, I think. Anyway, that was my score for the week.

My recent score was this Golden Eagle for $5.00. Three new tires and a good cleaning and new couplers and it now runs like a champ.
