This car has no markings, or weight:

I have a Lifelike refrigerator car from the late 1970's that has the same kind of wheelsets, the kingpin mounted trucks and that same style of cast on underframe detail. That doesn't make for a positive ID, but at least it may be a starting point.

This is going to bug me all day - I have seen those same trucks on many of my rolling stock, all of those are now packed away.

I have about 4 of these flats -I believe they were made by AHM. Here's a link to another post I did, apparently Precision miniatures offered this exact one, too, maybe a buy from AHM?

I'd forgotten I did that post, but I found it Googling for this flat. I forget what I have. :)

The couplers / springs and rounded head pins are a dead give-away for AHM.

AHM was a conglomerate and imported/sold under AHM items from many different manufacturers. I don't think there is any way to find out for sure unless you got your hands on their actual books from the 1960's-1970's. I say fat chance on that!

Many of the early models were stamped on the underframes with manufacturer name or country of origin. Regards, john

These flats have a deep center beam, and I imagine that precluded letter stamping. I've examined my propeller flat, and there are no markings on the one I have handy, even checked the sides of the beams, and nothing. Some just don't get stamped with ID at all.

I thought it was Lima who made the propellor flats... either way, AHM trucks.

Good point John but this one is not. there is no lettering on the bottom of this car. and buss even is you remove the trucks there still is nothing. Here the kid PRR4800 has touched on something. If you look and compare the way this flat car and other Lime cars are detailed. They are made in a common way. Still kid, no name is there so as quite a few people have said there just is no name and you can only guess. frank

All the feedback from everyone is very much appreciated! This one will most likely end up in my possession , assuming no one else beats me to it!
This car is not weighted though. Instead of having a separate deck and underframe, this car is molded in one piece, so a weight can't be sandwiched between the two. Any suggestions on adding weight to this car?

If you glued little squares of lead between the frame members, they could only be seen if the car was upside down. This is especially true with those deep fish belly side sills blocking the view.
