anyone got a schematic for the old Mantua/Tyco 10 wheelers?
I took this motor out, tested it, works fine
Now I needs to know how it goes back in

Motor came out of a junk 4-6-0 I got for $4 with tender

The motor frame grounds to the locomotive frame and the wire goes to the tender.

When you look at the locomotive from the front, the left side drivers pick up power from the rail. The right side tender wheels pick up the other rail power.

The locomotive frame picks up the Positive charge and the tender picks up the Negative charge from the rails.

To make the motor go forward, connect the positive lead of you power to the frame of the motor and the negative lead to the wire. That is the way it was designed to work.
