Alright, fine. I know it's a little early but I'll do it. My COTW is a Mantua coil car from a 1994 train pack.

Keeping with the intermodal theme, here's the equipment from my 1979 Silver Streak set:

Yes, that's NiteGlow stickers on them.

Would love to see those piggy backs behind that smashing LOTW SF unit. Hot shot! Too bad PC didn't run that head end power!

This is from one of the 90s store promotional sets. Note the inside of the one container has BACKWARDS Jell-o stamp, likely from a container getting missed, then the inside was stamped on the next item.

My COTW is a rather slippery one to find, first one I've seen. Trying to expand my auto parts consist some, found this on a table at Timonium, never assembled.

Love all the piggybacks and containers. My COTW is an AHM Canadian Club hopper that I've been wanting to collect for a long time and has finally joined my collection.

now if this Velveeta has Jell-O on the other side It's likely the stamper was too warm & the ink leaked in gotta find those

More likely the blank containers were positioned on a solid core for stamping and the core got stamped without a container on it, then this container was placed on the core and stamped, and the ink already on the core transferred to the inside of the container.

Found this little goodie on eBay. It's an 1950s/60s Blacksmith car by Mantua. Has the sprung trucks with plastic frames.

Yet again, I am blow away by the ever expanding universe of Tyco. Those flat containers are stunning! By the way, my buddy "Tin Plate Henry" has two AHM NIB unloaders: one is something with a piggy back and the other is a little hoist that lifts off containers. His price is $10 a piece. PM me if anyone is interested and I will give you his contact information. Henry has a small antique shop. This contribution is Athearn, a bit old, judging from the rust on the axles and weight. The trucks were sprung. I kind of don't like trucks for putting the railroads out of business, so I traded this piece off for some cool Tyco stuff a while back. By the way, I think I read somewhere that "National" was one of the first trucking firms to heavily use piggy back service.

My oh my! WKS photos love the look! The Quaker State, Cox Piggyback, ESPECIALLY the National piggyback - gotta get me one! Canadian Club looks wonderful, and that blacksmith car!
The blacksmith car looks to me like it's pre-1900 modeling, maybe for a mining operation? The smaller car on top with a narrower gauge, and something has to be forged and handmade? Earlier than I want to model I think but WOW. Added a few to my wantlist for sure this week.
I just have to say that you guys make this hobby great. Whether it's a picture of a stock Tyco car that you just love, or some esoteric item we can only hope to have and it's the jewel of your collection, it is SO much fun to see, and watch everyone come up with something fantastic and treasured. The OTW series is always my favorite. I have forums that I sound off about something I might be passionate about, but this site is ALWAYS the best, and it's so nice not to run into controversy but see harmony and happiness all the time.

Sprung Trucks? That's a Tru-Scale. I just might be obsessed with the old Tru-Scale maintenance cars, so I simply must give this a thumbs-up
