"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Not very many train shows in my area but today I picked up these 9 cars, a used car lot kit and 6 pieces of corked roadbed for a total of $11.00.

Nice haul for $11.00 Tramp! Who made the ribbed-side Milwalkee car?

JB, I see your Crane Car and Boom Tender set still has the crane operating knob! Very cool!

I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"

There is no name on it but it has screw in trucks like Athearn models.

That Rib-Side Milwaukee boxcar is a Roundhouse alright. In fact, it's a fairly rare one from the first generation of their plastic models immediately after the all-metal kits. They used Athearn's car floors and trucks, but substituted the steel plate/plastic frame for a 1-piece cast underbody that resembled the old metal ones they already had.

Mine is under the knife getting wire grabirons installed. Nice find!
