Nice Ken!
Great looking floor! Love the look of the really old wide board flooring!
I wonder how many small parts have fallen through those cracks!!
Most of the old CV smaller old tyme wood & metal craftsman kit freight cars look great behind the General. Since yours is a military car, I'd stick with tank cars, flat cars carrying military equipment and supply loads and a few box cars.

| Sounds like a real freight moving along with those wooden boards under the track. Pretty fine Ken.

Ken, is there a can motor in that General? It's very smooth and steady.
I love that old flooring too, but I'd definitely rig up a parts vacuum.

That's one good performing General you've got there, Ken. I've gotta find one of those eventually. I have the coaches, all I need is the loco itself.

| That book reference is pretty fine Ken. I really wanted to look at the pages on boiler modification, but the preview wouldn't permit that. That book looks like a neat collector's item in it's own right.

Are there universal joints in that driveshaft arrangement? It seems like there would need to be, but looking at the photo of the tender, I can't see where they would be.

Perhaps the flex is in that small diameter driveshaft, like the driveshaft in the original Pontiac Tempest.

That's a top end repower. There's a guy on the Repower & Regear group who uses wire to make invisible dogbones like that. Was this was a recent auction win?
