After gathering my collection of Auto Loaders, I wanted to do a photo shoot of my entire collection ( Okay, may not be ALL of them, but the majority of them, anyway. ). While not as impressive a collection as Walt's flats and piggybacks, I count 22 AL's in my fleet, with probably a few more hiding out in various basement nooks and crannies. I'll ferret them out eventually and get them all together. Out of my current 22, 12 have been modified with updated Athearn type trucks or mounting, and Kadees. Hope to be running these at shows this fall. Anyway, here's what I got for the moment.

It's amazing how one small piece of hardware can make or break a project like I undertook last week. I've been wanting to upgrade them for years, but could never locate the specialized hardware I wanted to do the job ( correctly ) until I ran across something on Ebay a couple weeks ago. But now, I've got 3 types of Tyco cars I've upgraded - the Auto Loader (12), the Piggyback(9), and the 3 Tractor Truck Cab cars (2). Been a busy week or so for me! A GOOD busy.
At any rate, thought I'd post my Auto Loader collection, since I finally had cleaned out some hard to get to storage in the house a few months ago, and after more basement digging, got the majority of my AL collection in one place finally. Progress is GOOD.

Oh, so you MISSED that yard sale, eh? LOL! That car looks good, and the automobiles on it look very clean indeed. Nice catch.

That's quite an extensive collection you've got there.I guess the infamous slippery slope's gotten to you on these things.

Well, anything having to do with AMC cars interests me, and with the Tyco Autoloader having 3 AMX's, I couldn't resist. But I have stopped collecting them ( for now ), as I have enough to run and take care of at the moment. Would love to get more of the AMX cars, but I guess that mold is long gone now. Maybe I could send one to China to get reproduced. . Anyway, that slope was treacherous for years, but I've gotten off it for now.
