I really love this Penn Central set. I'm not sure if it came with three or four coaches, but I think it was four. Three's company for this old hog. Link below is for a short video of her, and companion pieces. The PA1 belongs to the El Paso Model Train Club and is a vintage Hobby Town from circa 1972. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdO3aVPAmc8

Well, looks like we're time traveling this week BACK to Aug 13th, but no matter. I wouldn't mind getting younger. Think I'll recycle my project picture for this post, as I am working on a group of cars. My Autoloader conversion fleet is up to 9 at the moment, after discovering 3 more hiding in with the Bachmann Tri-level racks last night. I know I have even more, but for now, 9 will suffice. 4 are about done, and taking 3 in to the train shop for some track testing today.

I think most standard sets came with 3, I think you could buy a fourth piece separately. But most sets I see have only 3, but there is a Tavern car not normally with the set. Other Tyco experts will have to confirm my suspicions.

Ouch. Thank you, Kovacste.
Hey Jerry, looks like your building up your Auto Loader Fleet pretty good there. Are you interested in a trade? I have some Tyco Billboards of which I have duplicates, wouldn't mind trading one or two off...

No problem, Chops. In that case I'll delete my other post stating that you put the wrong date in this week's SOTW.

Walt....that is a mind-boggling collection. You should have a BIG intermodal facility for that on your layout!

My Tyco Santa Fe set came with a F7A/B pair and 4 cars: a combine "tavern" car, 2 coaches and an observation.

Thank You, Jerry! That's about half, of my piggy's as I have 10 of each trailer that Tyco made in general. I have not yet bought the only other building I want...The Tyco Truck Terminal, on ebay all the time.. The terminal would be nice to place many of the trailers around it... . Here the others...

A couple of months ago I posted the engine from this set under the topic LOTW. today I found the rest of the set (somehow it got packed in the box with all my old VIC 20 computer stuff). So here it is, my Canada Central Passenger set. I have no idea what make the cars are, there are no markings on them, they are all diecast metal and weigh 10.5 oz. each. There is a combination baggage/coach, 2 coaches and an observation car.

To me, the coaches look like they're made by Ambroid. Anyway, nice SOTW.

Alex I have one of those coaches as well. Mine has 3 axle trucks, and a paintjob to rival yours!

Retired Alex I believe your set of cars are John English. I was reading an article just this morning in RMC Mar 2013 pg.81 and there it was! I love the hunt for knowledge! Obviously, my car has the wrong trucks.
