Cushman snow cone cart
Wednesday, August 13, 2014
This is an old photo but I think you will all like it. While I was rail-fanning at Valley Jct. in East St. Louis one day in the late 1980s this fella pulled up in his little cart and sold me a snow cone. I have always thought that I would build a model of this cart someday. This was actually in a really rough part of town...seriously! I was a little concerned about the vulnerability of this little fellow in the exposed Cushman cart especially in handling money in the open. I admired his ingenuity and his pluck and have always wondered what ever happened to him. Sorry I posted this in new event again, one of these days I will get it right.

That's alright. Now that you mentioned it, I do wonder what happened to that guy too. Especially considering I've never seen or heard of anything like this.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."
