I must admit that I have squandered some precious summer time messing with model trains in the attic and I'd been looking at the layout for quite a spell with a nagging dissatisfaction. Partly because the configuration was messy and partly because I needed to get some things settled as far as how much time I wanted to spend on scenery and such. So . . . I'm going for sparse this time around and going to employ my stolen moments rehabilitating the equipment I've collected. This layout has a better passing track and it's sectioned so that I can keep several engines on it while the main line or local line is in use. And . . . I have more room in front where I sit, to use the layout as a workbench which most of the time is what it is. The size is 54 by 60.

Looks so much better than how your layout looked before. It obviously needs some more wild west style scenery but that's really it to be honest. -Steve
"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."
