I'm back from yet another vacation! And I took some photos at a pretty neat museum in Port Townsend. Most of the museum has pretty much nothing to do with trains except for one section where it showed some of the toys that kids played with there in the early 20th century. I found that all their toy trains they had there were 0 gauge Ives trains as you can tell from the title. I already know a little bit about Ives and when they made trains and what not. Anyways, enough of this nonsense I'm probably giving you , let's get to the pictures!
As you can see, this coach is in lovely condition. Heck, even when looking closely at it, there's only a few minor scratches.
This steam engine on the other hand, not so much. Still pretty cool though.

That's probably what it is but really, most of the train model train stuff they had in those cases as you can see are Ives trains. Plus, the steam engine and the coach were actually part of a set together. Take a look at one section of Ive's 1928-1929 catalog here.

Really? But then you've got to remember, Ives is essentially just a Lionel knock-off company although I don't think they made back products.

Pretty cool that they had mostly Ives at the museum. Those pieces are rather scarce these days. I've got a complete Ives train I bought at auction a few years ago, thought it was Marx at first. I've pretty much got all the O gauge makers now - Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Ives, and .... Hafner. Know that one? I have one engine, no cars yet I don't think.
Nice display they had for them, glad to see some Ives displayed somewhere. Thanks for posting that.

Vacation...vacation...I've heard of them. Isn't that where you have extra money and can go someplace besides home? I know! I'll run for President of the USA, then I can take as many as I like, and they'll always be paid for! Ives got a plan now!
