I was digging through some of my keepsakes and found my old HO train sets. After some research, it seems the Tyco Bubble Yum set is a bit rare compared to others. I have the Bubble Yum box car but do not have the truck/trailer. As an individual piece, what is that box car worth? It is still in the box, but the plastic cover is torn loose a bit. I also have the engine, caboose and the flatbed with pipes in boxes also. I have the empty box for the truck/trailer but not sure where that went. I'm wondering if it is mixed in with my brother's set. I have a few other box cars, hopper cars and two engines. One is a Santa Fe and the other is blue Conrail. The Conrail is broken though. And of course, I have tracks, controller, road signs, etc. One of the box cars I have is a Chef Boyardee yellow box car and also a Chef Boyardee billboard. Any info would be great. Probably will sell as a lot.

The Bubble Yum set is a bit hard to get. It come in a white box from Sears or Penney one. I have one Bubble Yum set in its correct box. Think I have a second box car. I also have 9 more Yum kenworths with trailers. My piggyback trailer collection stopped at 10 of each... The Bubble Yum box car doesn't demand a high price as do the trailers. Price seems to be down on bubble pieces and sets...

What do you think good price would be on the set as a lot? I don't want to overcharge someone but do not want to get ripped off either.

With out the truck/ trailer the set is not very popular.. The only pieces in the set that are not really common are the two marked pieces.. I couldn't give you a price, I just don't know...On ebay prices vary... I hope someone else will quote a price for you....

OK, hope others can comment. I was thinking somewhere between 25-50 for everything I have, but I didn't want to "give them away" if I had something of more value. I saw someone sold a complete set of Bubble Yum for over $200 on one site, but without having the truck, I really didn't have a clue on individual value.

I was paying $30-$42 for a boxed Bubble Yum truck & trailer a couple of years back. I think they're selling for less now...

I didn't have time to take pics last night and didn't find this forum until today. There's a guy coming over to look at them tonight so we'll see what he has to say. I think for the most part, the trains I have are all common except for the fact that I have the bubble yum box car, which sounds to be not as desirable as the truck/trailer. I am going to check with my brother though...let him check to see if he has it in his set. Thanks for the info.
