From his daughter...

To all of you here that are friends and family, this is his daughter Jennifer Kuhr Burke. I wanted to let everyone know that my dad passed away today. Please keep our family in your prayer. Thanks

Been a long time since I cried at the loss of someone I knew...going to be awhile before I get over the loss of Jim...

I'll never forget the compliment "The Sheriff" gave me when he kicked my photograph out of his competition because it was supposed to be of a model, not of the real thing. I just smiled and said, "Look again..."

He ran 2 Guyz train forum, a delightful, no frill train board where all were welcome and little was taken seriously. Lately he was cranking out nicely done kitbashed 1:24 scale plastic car kits and posting tutorials on Youtube.

Always the likable old codger, I will miss him...

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetua luceat eis. Amen.
May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear this. I don't think I ever corresponded with him, but I read so much of his posts that I feel like I knew him. It's a real loss for the hobby.

Um... guys, Shaygetz is informing us about the passing of Jim Marksbury, who was moderator of the now defunct 2 Guyz forum.

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Yes, Jim was the founder of another good forum, some of us whom were members there....

Sorry. It was just a misunderstanding.

-Steve

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

No sweat...I'm at that age now where the likelihood of me reading my own obituary goes up exponentially with each passing year...

Jim would've thought it a hoot....

Sorry to hear of this. I enjoyed seeing Jim's work on 'The Gauge/Big Blue' and '2Guys'.
