This is a hand built set dating to about 1972, the locomotive is a kit built Mantua, from the same vintage. The window shades are serrated, made from foil wrapping of gum sticks. The full story on this mishap (no damage) can be found in Loose Ends, under the TF Railroader News subheading.

Dang nice. Mellow yellow. Fine looking layout, too. Hey, is that calf powered, too? Those dwarf signals are the toast. I'd really like to see more of your work!

Both the cow and calf are powered. Look for more of my work under My Freelance LC&P in the layouts section and also at the Tincup and Telluride. One of these days I will get around to wiring the dwarf signals . They are as old as the hills (had em since the late seventies) and I got them used so who knows how old they are.quote:Dang nice. I will look forward to researching your layout. As to those dwarfs, may the RR gods be with you. I think I'd rather have my teeth drilled without Novacaine than have to crawl under that baseboard and tinker with relays and such. But then again, I really am an unrepentant "shake-the-box" sort of guy.
That both are powered some how doubles the cool factor for me.

It is especially neat to see the headlight burning in the cabless unit.
